Ann Natunewicz to talk about retail for the next generations
Every year, BRELF brings together experts and industry leaders from around the world, and 2019 will be no different.
In her presentation ‘The Mature U.S. Property Market: Developing Relevant, Engaging Retail for the Next Generation of Consumers’, one of this year’s speakers – Ann Natunewicz – will cover some of the most exciting and important trends in the commercial real estate and retail she has observed working on U.S. and international projects.
How do you succeed; how do you ensure your retail portfolio continues to be profitable in a market that’s undergoing some of the greatest changes in decades?
Consumers’ desire for sustainably is growing and expanding from foods to other industries like fashion. As the U.S. starts to catch up to the Western Europe and Australia with respect to awareness and action in addressing supply chain transparency, large-scale materials and product waste, the environmental impact, and workplace safety, the retail brands that are succeeding in the United States are shifting to cater to Millennials and Generation Z.
Cohorts that are most interested in convenience, customization, self-expression, and dynamic experiences both in-store and online. Closed stores and, in some cases, abandoned entire retail projects are creating new opportunities for mixed-use infill developments across the country.
As a result, creative strategic partnerships between brands are increasingly seen as a way to monetize a shared customer demographic, share an established supply chain, offer “limited edition” or custom goods, and expand a product or service offering, or reduce real estate costs.
Ann will cover these and many more interesting facts and examples from the U.S. and beyond.
This will be a must-see presentation to anyone interested in or investing in retail.
